Think Twice
Think Twice is not your regular conference of endless panels with little room for interactions. It is a space where ideas meet policy, and where discussions can influence the future of digital rights, democracy, and technology in Europe. It has previously been organized by Pirates Parties International, and this year, for the first time, the European Pirates will join as co-organizer of the event. We hope to see you there as a speaker!
Call for Papers & Speakers
The European Pirate Party invites researchers, practitioners, policymakers, activists, and innovators to apply as speakers for the Think Twice Conference 2026, taking place in Brussels on 16–17 October 2026.
This year’s conference focuses on one of the defining challenges of our time: AI & Governance: Opportunities and Risks for Digital Freedom. and we are looking for voices who want to shape that conversation.
As a speaker, you will:

- Contribute to shaping the debate on AI and democratic governance
- Connect with policymakers, civil society, and experts across disciplines
- Help define how Europe responds to the opportunities and risks of AI
We encourage interdisciplinary perspectives — from technology, law, policy, ethics, activism, and beyond. We are especially interested in speakers who are ready not only to present — but to engage, challenge, and inspire.
