Bart Overkamp leads the Outreach Team. The Outreach Team is the lifeline to the gathered member parties. The team supports and empowers member parties, builds internal capacity, and strengthens the grassroots network. It organizes trainings, coordinates joint campaigns, and facilitates member engagement. The team also manages volunteer support and membership development.
Bart Overkamp – Team Leader
Bart Overkamp has been active online as a persona since 2020, publishing independent writing under his own name. He became a video producer in 2021 and has been a storyteller (on stage) since 2022.
Previous professional experience includes founding an NGO focused on workplace opportunities and serving on the Humanistic Collective Utrecht i.o. board.
More recent activities include serving at the table of the Client Council at UWV (Netherlands, region Noord-Holland Noord) and attempting to secure a seat on the City Council of Haarlem in March 2026. Outspoken and usually a level-headed communicator, this pirate tries to make the world a better place by simply doing his best, or the best he can.
Alexander McCrady – Deputy Team Leader
Alexander recently earned his Bachelor’s in International Relations, specializing in Geopolitics and Diplomacy. Alaskan-born, he loves the great outdoors and adventures. In his spare time, he enjoys playing football, mountain biking, and volunteering as a Waze map editor.
Réka Marjai – Data Base Coordinator
Réka was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, then spent 2 years in Dublin, Ireland, working in social care. She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and she will start her master’s in Global Peace, Justice and Well-being in September in Sweden.
Since graduating high school, Réka has volunteered and worked with people, while also being interested in politics.
Réka joined the European Pirates Secretariat in January this year. She is part of the Outreach team and her current main task is to keep in touch with the Member Organizations.
Réka loves to travel and get to know new people, cultures, and places. She is a basketball referee as well, keeping sport an important part of her life. She also enjoys reading, going to the theatre or the movies and spending her time outdoors.

Milan Niranjan – Database Technician
Milan Niranjan is a Business Intelligence and Analytics professional with a background in engineering and data analytics. He completed his MSc in Business Intelligence & Analytics at ESC Clermont Business School in France after earning a Bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology in India.
During his Master’s, he gained professional experience as a Data Analyst Intern at OQEMA GmbH in Germany, where he worked with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Snowflake, data modeling, ETL processes, and business reporting. This experience helped him build strong technical and analytical skills while learning how data supports real business decisions.
His key skills include Power BI, Tableau, DAX, SQL, Snowflake, Excel, Power Query, and data visualization. He has also worked on several analytics and dashboard projects involving sales analysis and business performance.
Milan describes himself as analytical, curious, adaptable, and focused on solving practical problems. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, watching movies and TV series, and playing basketball. His long-term goal is to build a career that combines technology, data, and business to create meaningful, data-driven solutions.
Renny Lindberg – Event Coordinator
Renny has a Ph.D. in Computer Science and enjoys spending his free time doing various geeky endeavors, such as board games and RPGs. In a previous chapter of his life, he worked as a scuba diving instructor and has logged more than 2,000 dives.
